Last night, while manning my patio table station, I chased DX for hours, including trying to work the W1AW Portable stations in Maryland and Illinois. I even called CQ on 20m for 30-45 minutes, but no one wanted to talk to me. I was just about to give up and go to bed when I heard LY5A calling CQ from Lithuania. I worked him on my first callback.
Not bad for a couple of wires hanging in my backyard!
